When products roll into little bits on the surface, simplify the layers and change one thing at a time.
Start with the directions
Check the amount recommended on each label. Adding more of every layer can make it difficult to tell which combination is causing the problem. Keep the amount consistent while you assess the routine.
Give each skincare layer time to settle before applying the next. Avoid repeatedly rubbing over the same area. There is no universal waiting time that suits every formula.
Separate the variables
Try the serum and cream on different occasions, then together, keeping the other familiar steps the same. Include makeup in your notes if the problem begins only after you apply it. An ingredient list alone cannot tell you which finished products will sit well together.
Keep sunscreen directions intact
Do not solve a layering problem by using less sunscreen than its label directs. Reduce optional skincare steps instead, or find a combination you can use while following the sunscreen instructions.
If what you are seeing is peeling skin, redness or discomfort rather than product rolling up, stop the new product and seek advice when needed. Those are different questions.
